Budgam, Mar 11 : Police in Budgam on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three militant associates of Jaish-e-Muhammad  (JeM),  a militant outfit.

A police official told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that on a credible input, police along with security forces arrested three militant associates.

“Among them, two have been identified as Dilawar Sofi, resident of Donniwari Chadoora and Sameer Yousuf Ganie, resident of Magrey pora Chadoora,” he said.

“As per the investigations, they were involved in providing logistic support and shelter to the active militants operating in the Chadoora areas,” he said.

He added that incriminating materials recovered from their possession has been seized and taken into case records for the purpose of investigation.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam, Amod Nagpure while confirming to—KNO said that three militant associates have been arrested besides recovering arms and ammunition from them.

He further stated that name of one among them has been kept withheld as he is a minor.

“Case under relevant sections of law stands registered in concerned police station and further investigation is in progress,” he added—(Agencies)
