Budgam, Mar 13 : One person died while six others were injured after a gas cylinder exploded at a house in Wadwan village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the sound of explosion was heard at a radius of one kilometre in Soibugh area. The blast took place at the house of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Gulam deen bhat where he was living with his family.
The explosion completely demolished the building, in which Mushtaq Ahmad, his wife and some other family persons were seriously injured and were rushed to JVC hospital Srinagar.
However, the identification of deceased and injured persons was not immediately known.
Police officials confirmed the incident to KNO and said that one unidentified gutted body and six other injured persons have been recovered from the house and were shifted to JVC Srinagar.
He, however, said that the condition of injured persons was not known.—(Agencies)
