Srinagar, March 23 : Police on Monday said that it have arrested five persons involved in unlawful activities in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

“Acting on a specific information, a police team carried out a raid at Zawoora, Kathohalan, Arihal and Shadab Karewa villages on Sunday night and arrested five persons,” a police officer told GNS.

“Some posters of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit were recovered from the arrested persons during the preliminary investigation,” he said.

In this connection, a case under FIR Number 34/2020 under Unlawful Activities Act was registered in police station Shopian and further investigations taken up. (Agencies)
