Srinagar: Former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said that ‘he got 370 to trend again’ after facing criticism over his jibe at reports of fireworks in Delhi on Sunday, when Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi had appealed people to ‘light a diya’ to show collective resolve in fight against COVID-19.

“Fireworks in Delhi! What’s the celebration?” Mr Abdullah, who was released last month after remaining under detention for about eight months, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter, attracting criticism.

Taking a jibe few minutes later, Mr Abdullah tweeted, “Corona gone?”

Within minutes, scores of Twitter users trolled him saying that the country was celebrating the abrogation of Article 370. As a result, Article 370 started to trend on twitter.

To this, he tweeted, “I got 370 to trend again.”

“There is nothing more satisfying that a bhakt frothing at the mouth hammering away brainlessly at their keyboard to troll me. I’ve missed it all these months in detention. Welcome back boys & girls,” Mr Abdullah added.(Agencies)
