Srinagar, April 16: Jammu and Kashmir continues to witness surge in the Covid-19 positive cases as 14 new cases tested positive in Kashmir today taking the total number of cases in the Union Territory to 314.

“14 new cases- all from Kashmir Division. Total cases now 314. Jammu Division-54 and Kashmir Division-260. Further details in daily bulletin,” tweeted government spokesman Rohit Kansal.

It is pertinent to mention that the J&K government has declared entire downtown Srinagar as red zone to prevent spread of Covid-19 pandemic. The entry and exit points in these areas have been completely sealed and no one except essential services and medical staff is allowed to enter into these areas—(KNO)
