Baramulla, May 25 : A butcher who was selling ‘rotten’ meat in north Kashmir’s Baramulla village was arrested on Monday, police said.
A local resident of Heewan told GNS over the phone that the butcher was selling the “rotten” meat following which police was informed.

A police officer said a police party was deputed to the area and the butcher was arrested.

He said the arrest followed after a magistrate visited the spot and found the meat unsuitable for human consumption. “The police team carried the photography etc,” the officer said, adding, “A case has been registered,” he said.(GNS)
