Uri, Aug 26 : A residential house was gutted in a fire mishap in north Kashmir’s Baramulla District on Wednesday.

SHO Bijhama told KNS that a residential house was gutted in an accidental fire at Noorkha area in Baramulla District during late hours of August 25..

He identified the house owners as Syed Zulifkar son of Syed Altaf Hussain. As per locals, the incident took place at around 12:30 am.

However NHPC Uri 1st immediately swung into action and rushed fire tenders to the scene and doused the fire from spreading it in the area.

Meanwhile SHO Bijhama Nasir Ahmad Bhat while talking to KNS said the prima facie suggested that fire erupted due to short circuit. (KNS)
