HANDWARA, September 05-2020: In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse Handwara Police continues it’s war against drugs.
Based on reliable information a police party of Police Station Kralkhund conducted Vehicle checking in Rasripora and Badrah villages .During checking Five persons namely;
1.Bilal Ahmad Dar s/o Mohd Maqbool Dar R/o Badrah Payeen
2.Feroz Ahmad Pandith s/o Ali Mohd Pandith R/o Langate.
3.Asif Manzoor Mir s/o Manzoor Ahmad Mir R/o Langate
4.Riyaz Ahmad Lone @Riyaz Badra s/o Sana ullah Lone R/o Badra Payeen.
5.Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat S/o Gh Rasool Bhat R/o Maratgam Langate. were apprehended and during their personal search 100 gms of Brown Sugar and cash worth Rupees 2.65 Lakhs were recovered from their possession.
In this connection case FIR No. 84 and 85/2020 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act has been registered against them in Police Station Kralgund and investigation taken up.
These efforts are hugely hailed by the general masses. Handwara Police has appealed general public to co-operate in sharing all the information related to drug abuse so that curative steps can be initiated..
