Baramulla, Oct 7: The armies of India and Pakistan Saturday afternoon heavy exchanged gunfire at Hajipeer sector, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told news agencyโ€”Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that this afternoon Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation.

He said Pakistani rangers violated ceasefire and targeted the forward post of Indian army along the line of control (LoC) areas.

Locals told KNO, said that areas like, Hajiper Sector were affected due to the ceasefire as panic gripped in the village. Defence spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that a befitting response is being given to Pakistan side.

However Officals said, that the ceasefire violation in these areas took place in this afternoon. โ€œThere was, however, no loss of life or damage to property so far,โ€ he saidโ€”(KNO)
