Kupwara, Nov 18: A minor boy of five years of age succumbed to his injuries, a day after being hit by a maruti car in Hanjipora area of Trehgam in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Police officials told news agency KDC that the boy identified as Wasir Ahmad Wani age 05 years, son of Abdul Rashid Wani, a resident of Hanjipora Trehgam was seriously injured here on Tuesday, after he was hit by a Maruti vehicle bearing Registration number JK-09A 7417.

The injured boy was rushed to sub-District Hospital Kupwara wherefrom doctors referred him to District Hospital Handwara; however he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.

According to the officials, a case has been registered against the driver in the concerned police station and further investigation has been set in motion. (KDC)
