Srinagar, Jan 11 : The family members of Gowhar and his locality members from Chanjmula area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district hailed the Army Major Kamlesh Mani for sponsoring medical treatment of deaf and dumb boy as he has gained hearing ability after undergoing treatment.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Major Kamlesh Mani started sponsoring treatment as well as education of Gowhar Mir from Chanjmula village since last year

He also assured that he’ll take him (Gowhar) outside for medical treatment after doctors claimed that Gowhar needs to undergo medical attention to gain hearing and speaking ability.

The family members of Gowhar while speaking to KNO said that Gowhar has gained partial hearing ability.

They said that this is a reason for the entire family to celebrate this occasion and thank Major Kamlesh who is like their son.

They said not only the family members but the entire village is thankful to Major Kamlesh for his goodwill gesture.

Jameela Begum, mother of Gowhar, said, “I treat Major Kamlesh like my son Gowhar and I thank him for managing everything on his own.”—(KNO)
