Srinagar, January 23: Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir has condemned the way Jammu Municipal Corporation attempted to demolish structures in Sunjwan.

In a statement to “Kasmir News Service” reads,โ€œIt is a bizarre violation of the rights of the people who had constructed buildings much before JMC came into being. The officials did not follow rules,โ€ said Mir.

He demanded action against the officials responsible for creating chaos among the people without following the procedure. โ€œWhy don’t these officials be punished for their unjustified acts?โ€ said Hassan Mir.

Mir further said that โ€œThe officials should face legal action under rules for harassing the common masses without any reason.โ€

He questioned the selective approach of the JMC for creating fear psychosis among the people and apprehended that yesterdayโ€™s situation which was created by the Corporation could have become a major law and order problem.

He warned against repeating such acts in future. โ€œThe officials who deliberately create law and order problems and promote mistrust among the communities should be booked under the law,โ€ he demanded.(KNS)
