Budgam, Jan 31: Police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday arrested two persons after they were caught chopping walnut trees.

Police sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the duo identified as Abdul Majeed Mir son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir and Kaiser Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Sultan Khan, both residents of Rathsun area of Budgam were arrested by Police after they were caught red-handed while chopping walnut trees.

Meanwhile, the cut down portion was immediately seized besides the persons involved are likely to be booked under relevant laws of specified trees act. (KDC)
