Srinagar, Feb 7: A CRPF officer died after receiving burn injuries due to electric shock here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Sources told News Agency KNT that Assistant Sub Inspector from D/54 Battalion Dilbeer Singh was found dead at SKICC Srinagar.

The officer as per sources was electrocuted while his service rifle was also found damaged in his picket at Morcha Number 5 at SKICC where he was posted.

The deceased is the resident of Pathankot Punjab.

Police sources while confirming his death said that a case has been registered in this regard. They said prima facie it seems the officer received electric shock after a short circuit. (KNT)
