KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 13: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today flagged of ‘Run for Safety drive’ here at TRC. The function was organized by Motor Vehicles Department Kupwara in continuation to the Road Safety Month.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that Road Safety Month programme was launched by the Government for mass awareness among the people about road safety rules and etiquettes. He directed the ARTO to conduct special awareness programmes for driver associations working in the district to ensure strengthening of road safety at grassroot level, thus saving precious human lives.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off a Road Safety rally at TRC which concluded at Bus Stand Kupwara. The rally was attended by school boys of HSS Drugmulla and Band Police. The boys held placard in their hands depicting the messages about safe driving and road etiquettes.
