Srinagar, Feb 15: Muslims helped a Hindu family in cremation process of a man who died in Maisuma area of Srinagar city today.

Locals told KNT that one Rakesh Kumar who was not keeping well from past several months breathed his last. Muslim neighbours arranged everything required for the cremation process.

Locals said they arranged a priest and shouldered the dead body. Kumar was cremated at Batamloo area of Srinagar city.

The deceased was living with couple of family members. “He once had a flourishing ready-made garment business but losses in business affected his health and status,” said an elderly Muslim man.

He said Kumar had two sons but both abandoned him after he received set back in his business. (KNT)
