Srinagar, Mar 21: In a classic case of bonhomie, a Muslim neighborhood in central-Kashmir’s Ganderbal helped to perform last rites of an elderly Kashmiri Pandit on Sunday.

Reports reaching Global News Service (GNS) said that soon after the news about demise of one Radha Krishna Ji (80), from Pandit community residing at Kangan broke out, many people majority of which included Muslims visited the bereaved family.

The neighborhood members joined the family into performance of last rites on the deceased even as many women could also be seen extending their condolences on the demise of the elderly person, known for his humble nature.

It is pertinent to mention here that there have been several instances witnessed across length and breadth of Kashmir wherein the two communities have helped each other on different fronts. (GNS)
