Kupwara, Mar 29: Authorities have suspended vehicular movement on Kupwara-Lolab road following damage to a bridge caused by flashfloods at Badibera area along the thoroughfare.
SDM Sogam Aijaz Ahmad Bhat told GNS that the traffic movement has been halted to avert any exigency along the road. “Part of a plinth of the bridge has got washed away due to flashfloods”, the official informed.
“Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes to avoid any unnecessary jam along the road”, the official said adding that “We urge the public not to come near the site.” (GNS)
