Srinagar, May 2: An army man has shot himself to death using his service rifle in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday afternoon, official sources said.
They said that one Parveen Kumar posted at 59 Medium Regiment at Khacharbatrey Company Veervan area in Sheeri shot himself in his head by using his service rifle. As a result of fatal injury, the soldier died instantly, they told Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS).
Confirming the incident, a police official told GNS that a case has been registered under relevant sections for investigations. (GNS)
