Kupwara, May 5: A 17-year-old boy sustained critical injuries, with his fellow traveller getting minorly hurt, after a cab they were travelling in fell off a bridge in Wani Dorusa area in Lolab on Wednesday morning.

Reports reaching Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS) said that an Alto Car bearing registration number JK-02AP 1489 skidded and rolled down a bridge at Dorusa Lolab.

In the incident, one on-board traveller Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat (17) son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat resident of Tekipora Lolab sustained critical injuries and another Danish Ahmad Rather son of Shakeel Ahmad Rather is said to have sustained minor injuries.

The injured duo was immediately evacuated to a nearby health facility in Sogam wherefrom the Mohsin Mushtaq, with serious injuries, was referred to District Hospital Handwara for advanced treatment.

A police official confirming the incident told GNS that the car the has also got substantially damaged, adding that a case in this regard has been taken up for further investigations. (GNS)
