Bijbehara, June 06 : A 37-year-old mentally unsound woman allegedly committed suicide at her home in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday morning.
A police official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the woman (name withheld), a resident of Sethar locality of Bijbehara allegedly hanged herself at her home.
She was rushed to SDH Bijbehara by her family members, however, doctors there declared her dead on arrival.
“The woman had become mentally unsound after her son died two years ago,” the official said, adding that a case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been taken up—(KNO)
