Budgam, July 5: Authorities Monday realized a fine of Rs 2 lakhs from different brick kiln owners for violating norms in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A team from district administration Budgam conducted surprise check of various brick kilns in Waterwani area of the district. During the inspecting some brick kiln owners were found violating norms laid down by the government.

The violators were fined on the spot.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr Nisar Ahmed Lone told news agency Kashmir News Trust Rs 2 lakh were realized from the brick kiln owners.

The team that conducted surprise visit to Waterwani was comprised of officials from Revenue Department, District Mineral Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam. (KNT)
