Baramulla, Aug 1: Officials of Forest department has seized a Tata mobile vehicle which was loaded with illicit timber in Budden area of Rafiabad in North Kashmir Baramulla district early morning today.

Riyaz Ahmad Wani Range Officer Rafiabad told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that acting on specific input, a nakka was laid at village Budden by the forest officials led by Block officer Payeen.

He said that a Tata-Mobile without Registation number carrying timber was intercepted and during checking, illicit timber Kail Sawn measuring 26.99-Cft was found in it without documents and the vehicle along with forest produce was instantly seized under section 52 of Indian Forest Act.

“A Case has been registered against the offenders and further investigation have been launched in this regard,” he said. (KNS).
