Budgam, Sep 1: A day after the death of a PDD employee due to electric shock, hundreds of people Wednesday staged a protest amid anti-AEE and PDD slogans demanding justice for the family of the deceased and a thorough investigation into the incident.

Power Development Department Lineman, Muhammad Amin Bhat, a resident of Sodipora village of Budgam was electrocuted while repairing an electric line in Khanchtipora Khag yesterday.

Hundreds of people especially from Beerwa sub-division hit to roads and locked the office of PDD demanding justice and probe into the death of the Lineman.

Besides probe, the protesters demand lodgment of an FIR against concerned AEE.

The protesters appealed Deputy Commissioner Budgam to constitute a committee that will probe the matter in time bound manner. (KNT)
