Srinagar, Sep 21: An improvised explosive device (IED) was detected and defused on Tuesday morning by the security forces in Humhama area of Airport road in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that an IED planted in a steel container weighing approx 6 Kg’s was detected near Gogoo Gali at Humhama area of Airport road.

He said a bomb disposal team was dispatched on the spot and was later diffused without causing any loss of life or damage.

A case under relevant section of law is being registered in this regard and further investigation is on, he added. (KDC)
