Srinagar, Oct 23: A man died after slipping into an under construction drain in Harnambal area of Natipora Srinagar outskirts.
Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that an elderly man was on way to visit the house of his daughter at Natipora where she has been married. While on way, he slipped into an under construction drain.
The man was retrieved dead by locals and the police from the drain.
A police official while confirming the death of man identified him as Pirzada Mustafa of Awanitpora area.
He said that an ambulance was arranged by a local social group ‘Athwas Group of Humanity’ and the dead body was ferried in that ambulance to his native village. (KNT)
