Uri, Jan 31 : The residents of Gingal village of north Kashmirโ€™s Uri Monday expressed deep anguish over the inordinate delay in lifting damaged transform by PDD officials in the area. They appealed higher authorities to intervene into the matter and ensure the replacement of transform in the area at the earliest.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) , the aggrieved residents said that the transform suffered damage thrice in last four days. They said despite the matter was communicated to higher ups of PDD at local level but all in vain.

They said in bone chilling winters the residents of the areas are suffering huge inconvenience especially elders, patients and children.

They said in times of pandemic, many elder patients need supply of oxygen however due to shortage of electric supply in the area the PDD officials have put their lives at risk.

โ€œDespite the matter was communicated to concerned officers who assured the damaged transformer will be lifted up soon, however two days have been passed since and no action visible on groundโ€, the locals told.

They appealed higher authorities to intervene into the matter and ensure the replacement of damaged transform in the area at the earliest.(KNS)
