Srinagar: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Friday urged the LG administration to provide sustainable livelihood to Srinagar’s acid attack victim, highlighting that the mere financial bits of help wouldn’t do any good to the poor girl.

Kadfeen in a statement while terming an attack on the girl as excruciating and inexplicable, has said that there is a dire need to rehabilitate the victim and provide her with sustainable livelihood opportunity.

Kadfeen said that the poor girl was the lone breadwinner of her family and the recent unfortunate incident has left both her as well as her family in distress. He urged the LG administration to provide government jobs to the victim so that she could sustain herself and her economically downtrodden family amid the prevailing distressing times.

He also hailed the police administration for nabbing the culprits without delay and demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in such inhuman action. He said that those behind such barbaric acts shouldn’t be spared in any manner and their punishment should serve as a deterrent to all such nefarious miscreants who have the tendency to carry out such acts of cowardice in the future.
