Jammu, Feb 17: An army soldier allegedly ended his life by shooting himself to death using his service rifle in Nagrota area of the Jammu region on Thursday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that an army soldier of 60 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) allegedly shot himself to death at Romeo Force Rear Headquarter at Nagrota.

He has been identified as Biswajit Gogai, son of Atul Gogai, a resident of Goraguri of district Golaghat Assam, they said.

A police official confirmed the incident and said a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Nagrota. (KDC)
