Langate: A 37-year-old man drowned into nallah Mawer at Langate area of Handwara in Kupwara district on Monday, reports said.
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the man namely Mohammad Amin Bhat (37) son of Ghulam Mohidin Bhat of Langate is feared dead after he slipped into the nallah.
They said that soon after the incident, police and locals rushed to the spot and immediately launched searches to trace his body.
Meanwhile, an official said that the rescue operation is underway to retrieve the body, however, due to heavy rains, operation is getting hampered. (KNS)
