Sopore Police on Saturday held three persons including two Budgam residents along with heroin like substance during a Naka in Hadipora area of Sopore in Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a joint naka of Police Post Watergam and SOG Rafiabad headed by SI Bilal Rashid was established at Hadipora crossing.

He said that during the naka three persons were arrested along with 42 grams of heroin like substance, while the vehicle was also seized.

He identified the trio as Manzoor Ahmed Ganaie son of Ghulam Qadir Ganaie of Behrampora Sopore, Zahid Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Nabi Rather and Riyaz Ahmad Rather son of Muhammad Shafi Rather—both residents of Nasrulapora Budgam.

The official said that a Case FIR No 41/2022, U/S 8/21, 29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
