Delhi State Committees of SFI and DYFI Sunday gave a call for Parliament Chalo, protesting against the “Agnipath Scheme”.

As per committee, it was a continuation of the ongoing protests across the Nation against the contractualisation of the armed forces.

Delhi saw another episode of the same “brutality” against struggling youth, the statement issued by DSC reads.

Today, Delhi police “brutally” detained the activists who were marching towards Parliament, including DYFI President A.A. Rahim (Member Parliament),General Secretary Himagnaraj Bhattararchya, SFI General Secretary Mayukh Biswas, DYFI Delhi Secretary Aman Saini, SFI Delhi Secretary Pritish Menon and JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh.

Several activists suffered injury whereas one activist’s clothes were torn apart, the statement reads.

The “brutality” was of such an extent that even a Rajya Sabha MP was not spared, it adds.

“The repression on the voices of youth highlights the autocratic nature of the Central government. JKDYF State Executive condemns the arrest of Comrade Sagar Gautam – Secretary of SFI Saharanpur, UP and Comrade Nirangkush Nath – Secretary of SFI Assam who was arrested from a conference at Tinsukia.”

All of them were arrested due to their participation in the Agnipath protests there yesterday.

Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation State Executive Committee said that the federation stands shoulder to shoulder with SFI-DYFI in “the struggle for better future”.
