The traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar national highway resumed after remaining suspended for over five hours due to a landslide in Ramban area, officials said here on Friday.

An official told the news agencyโ€”Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the highway has been reopened for traffic after early morning traffic was suspended due to landslides at different places on Ramban stretch.

He said that while all blockades were removed, traffic was allowed to move towards Kashmir as over 200 vehicles, which were stranded vehicles were let go. “After clearance of these 200 vehicles, Yatris will also be allowed to move on the highway.โ€ he said.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Ramban on its official Twitter handle informed that vehicular traffic has been restored in NH-44
