Police have registered a murder case against in-laws of a deceased woman namely Tasleema who died in Srinagar under “mysterious circumstances”.

Tasleema (35) was married to Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar of Nund Resh Colony (B) Bemina Srinagar.

Tasleema collapsed at her home, and later she was shifted to JVC hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead on 27 June this year.

On the insistence of Tasleemaโ€™s family proceedings under 174 CRPC were put in place and after 36 days Police, today registered an FIR (109/22 U/S 302) against In-Laws of Tasleema.

Pertinently, the family of Tasleema had staged a protest alleging that she has been murdered. They had demanded the registration of an FIR against the In-Laws of Tasleema.

Tasleema was a resident of HMT Zainakote Srinagar.

Police sources said that 3 ladies have been taken into custody in this connection and an investigation is underway.

The police lodged the FIR on the basis of an FSL report. (KNT)
