One person is feared dead and two others were successful in making it back to the embankment after a boat they were traveling in capsized in Wular Lake in Bandipora district on Wednesday.

Official sources told GNS that these three persons were carrying willow twigs when the boat suddenly sank near Banyari village of north Kashmir district this morning. While two persons swam their way back to safety and reached the embankment, they said, the third one in the boat, Javaid Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Baniyari is missing and is feared dead in the water body, one of the Asia’s biggest freshwater lakes.
