A suspected person was detained by policeon Monday after IED material weighing 15kg along other material were recovered in forests of Basantgarh area of Udhampur district of Jammu division.

Official sources told GNS that IED like material weighing around 15 kg in cylindrical shape, 300-400 gms of RDX, 7 7.62mm catriages , 5 Detonators, one coded sheet and one letter pad page of LeT oufit were recovered.

In this regard an FIR NO-47/2022 U/S 4/5 explosive act &16/18/23 UAPA act has been registered in Police station Basantgarh, they said.

Meanwhile a top police officer told GNS that a suspect has been detained for questioning in this regard. (GNS)
