The collision between a truck and a CRPF vehicle on Wednesday left 5 Para-military personnel including 4 officers injured on the Jammu-Udhampur highway.

Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that there was a head-on collision between a speeding private truck (PB06B-7355) and CRPF vehicle (JK02BN-6560) near Mand Takri area of Udhampur district of Jammu region in which 4 CRPF Sub-Inspectors and a trooper sustained injuries.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Official sources identified the 4 injured Assistant Sub Inspectors as Brij Lal, Raj Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Govind Raj and Selection Grade Constable Ashok Kumar.

Both the vehicles suffered damages, however, the truck driver was unhurt. Police seized the truck and arrested the driver for alleged rash driving. [KNT]
