Renowned Social political Activist Sardar Tajinder Singh has expressed his serious concerns regarding the ongoing traffic mismanagement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Tajinder Singh said there is urgent need for effective measures to address the recurring traffic congestion, particularly on the stretch from Ramban Chenab Bridge to Banihal Town and Samroli Chenani Nashri Tunnel Streach.

Tajinder Singh said that Traffic Department must establish traffic control points after every five kilometers which manned by traffic police personnel to put check on traffic Jams on regular intervals

Tajinder said that the present traffic situation
causing inconvenience which leads to significant fuel wastage, pollution due to prolonged idling of vehicles on the Jammu Srinagar Highway.

Tajinder also raised particular concern about the impending annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, emphasizing that the current situation on Jammu Srinagar Highway demands immediate attention to prevent further complications during coming Yatra.

Tajinder Singh urged the Hon’ble Lt. Governor and administration to take a holistic approach in addressing the matter to ensure a smoother flow of traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
