Over 650 Amarnath pilgrims, who were stranded on Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to inclement weather, were provided assistance by the administration and security forces.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that civil administration and security forces including Army’s 2 sector provided emergency relief and aid to 676 Yatris including women and children who were stranded near Wuzur area of Qazigund on the highway. .

Meanwhile, pilgrims expressed gratitude to Army and civil administration for providing them aid

“We are happy with the arrangements made by the security forces and civil administration,” said a pilgrim.

Amarnath Yatra continues to remain suspended for the third consecutive day on Sunday due to bad weather conditions—(KNO)
