In a decisive move against illegal liquor production, the Excise Range North Kashmir conducted a successful raid on the National Brick Kiln in Bulgam, Baramulla.

Acting on specific intelligence, the operation led to the seizure and destruction of approximately 150 liters of Lahan, a key ingredient in the production of illicit liquor, found on adjacent state land.

The raid was executed under the supervision of Excise Commissioner Sh. Subash Chander Chhibber (JKAS) and following directives from Deputy Excise Commissioner Ms. Tazayun Mukhtar (JKAS). During the operation, the owner of the brick kiln was cautioned about the serious legal consequences associated with such illegal activities.

This enforcement action highlights the Excise Department's steadfast commitment to tackling the illicit liquor trade, which poses a severe threat to public health and safety. The department's ongoing vigilance and rigorous efforts aim to eradicate illegal liquor manufacturing and distribution in the region.

The Excise Department remains resolute in its mission to uphold public safety and ensure compliance with the law.
