A National Lok Adalat was successfully conducted at the Munsiff Court Premises, Pampore, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) as per the directions of the Principal District Judge, Pulwama. The proceedings were presided over by Ms. Danishta Shafi, KCS Judicial.
A dedicated bench, comprising Ms. Danishta Shafi and Dr. Arief Hussain Masoodi, President of the Bar Association Pampore, was constituted for the settlement of cases. A range of cases was taken up and resolved through amicable means, highlighting the efficiency of Lok Adalats in facilitating expeditious and cost-effective dispute resolution.
The event was attended by Prosecuting Officer Mr. Noveed Sarwer Khan, members of the legal fraternity, court officials, and litigants. The Lok Adalat provided an effective platform for dispute resolution through mutual understanding and compromise, in line with the objective of ensuring accessible and affordable justice for all.
This initiative reinforced the commitment of the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Pampore, to advancing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and extending legal services to the grassroots level.
