MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah chaired a key administrative meeting today to assess the draft development plan for 2025-26, spotlighting agriculture, tourism, and animal husbandry as vital drivers for Gulmarg’s economy and job creation.

Urging seamless inter-departmental coordination, Shah stressed sustainable growth to uplift local livelihoods, with senior officials like SDM Gulmarg, the CEO of Gulmarg Development Authority, and engineers in attendance.

Discussions honed in on eco-friendly tourism, infrastructure upgrades, and livestock support, while Shah pressed officers to engage with residents and act swiftly on their concerns.

Post-meeting, he inspected pipe stocks at the PHE store and reviewed the site plan for a new 20-bedded hospital in Tangmarg, set for imminent construction.
