Security forces on Monday busted a hideout on the Hakapathar above Nagni top in North Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Officials told GNS that a search team comprising police, army, BSF and CRPF launched a search operation after discovering suspicious object in the area.
Continuing searches for 2 days, the joint team recovered 12 Chinese Hand grenades, one 9mm pistol, two pistol magazines, 10 rounds of AK-47, Kenwood Motorola set, one antenna, five firesticks and one container Aluminium.
Offcials further said that the recovery underscores thay a major terror attack was being planned. With the discovery of the hideout, a major terror incident has been averted.(GNS)
