Continuous heavy rainfall since last night has led to flood-like conditions in several parts of Jammu region, causing damage and disruption.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Corner —(KNC) stated that the Sahar Khad river in Kathua district swelled due to the downpour, damaging the bridge near Logate Mor on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. Traffic movement on the stretch was severely affected as authorities rushed to assess the situation.

In Jammu city, heavy rains inundated low-lying areas including Bhawani Nagar in Janipur and Kabir Colony in Talab Tillo, leaving streets waterlogged and residents facing hardship. Visuals from these localities showed overflowing drains and submerged roads.

Authorities have advised people to remain cautious as rainfall continues across the region. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
