Ganderbal, Sept 17: The Department of Fisheries, Ganderbal today organized an awareness camp at its Gangerhama Headquarters under Sewa Parv, a national initiative aimed at celebrating the spirit of service as the truest form of patriotism, contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Fishermen and fish farmers from the Gangerhama Circle actively participated in the program. During the event, they were sensitized about various flagship schemes including Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors in J&K (JKCIP), and the Kisan Credit Card (KCC).

On the occasion, departmental officials facilitated on-spot registration of farmers under KCC, Daksh Kisan, and JKCIP, ensuring direct outreach and timely extension of benefits to the beneficiaries.

The initiative was well-received by the participants, who appreciated the department’s efforts in bringing schemes and services directly to their doorsteps, in line with the spirit of Sewa Parv.
