The Kashmir Weather Forecast has issued an alert for heavy rain and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir over the next 36 to 48 hours. A significant weather system is expected to impact the region, bringing widespread precipitation and a marked drop in temperatures.

According to the forecast, heavy rainfall is likely over the plains of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions, while the higher reaches are expected to receive heavy snowfall. This spell of weather may mark the season's first snowfall in popular tourist destinations such as Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Doodhpathri, and Pahalgam.

The peak intensity of the system is expected to occur tomorrow, accompanied by a sharp fall in day temperatures. Gusty winds and thunderstorms are also possible during this period, potentially causing temporary disruption in travel and outdoor activities.

Residents and travelers are advised to stay updated with the latest weather reports and exercise caution, particularly in higher-altitude areas where snowfall may lead to slippery roads and reduced visibility.
