Apni Party Chief Spokesperson, Muntazir Mohiuddin would likely resign from the party and  contest the upcoming Budgam by-elections as an independent candidate.

Speaking exclusively to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Muntazir confirmed that he will contest the Budgam bypolls as an independent candidate.

“I may quit the Apni Party, but as of now, I am still part of it,” he said.

Pertinently, during the 2024 Assembly elections, he had extended his support to Omar Abdullah on the Budgam constituency seat—(KNO)
