Two persons were injured after being allegedly assaulted following an argument over a speeding vehicle in Srinagar’s Parimpora area on Sunday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a written complaint was received from a resident of Parimpora, stating that a vehicle was on its way towards Qammarwari when the incident took place near Parimpora Chowk.

He said the complainant and his friend had reportedly asked the driver to slow down the vehicle, following which the driver and some of his associates allegedly assaulted both of them, leaving them injured.

He identified the duo as Adil Farooq Mir, son of Farooq Ahmad Mir and his friend Asrar Ahmad Mir—both residents of Parimpora, Srinagar, who have been shifted to Hospital in injured conditions.

Meanwhile, an investigation in this regard has been taken up—(KNO)
