A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable passed away late Monday night after he suddenly fell unconscious at a camp near Sainik School Nagrota, officials said.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the incident occurred on Monday evening when Constable 59-year-old GD Ravinder Partap Singh, presently attached with A Company, CRPF Camp Nagrota, collapsed unexpectedly.

Singh, son of late Indur Bhadur Singh and a resident of B.B Pur Ugoranpur, Tehsil Haji Pur, Kolhapur Police Station area, District Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), was immediately attended to by personnel present at the camp.

He was declared dead shortly after. The body has been shifted to GMC Jammu for medico-legal formalities, they added. (KNC)
