A six-year-old child was killed and his 10-year-old brother critically injured after they were crushed under wooden logs in the Shaltang Parimpora area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.

An official said that the children were playing near wooden logs when the accident occurred. 

He said, both were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared Arhaan Imran (6) dead, while his brother Huzaif Imran (10) remains in critical condition. Both are sons of M. Imran of Boat Colony, Bemina.

Investigations have been taken up.
